With over 170,000 attendees and close to 10 million online viewers, Dreamforce allowed Trailblazers from all over the globe to learn, share, give back, and connect with one another at the biggest annual SaaS conference in the world. At OwnBackup, our Dreamforce experience consisted of engaging conversation, plenty of learning, and non-stop action. Our favorite highlights included winning the Salesforce Appy Award for boosting momentum across the Salesforce ecosystem and winning the Mega Demo Jam semi-finals.
Alongside our award successes, the OwnBackup Pub Booth attracted consumers from companies all around the globe, receiving exceptional feedback as one of the coolest booths at Dreamforce. Additionally, the OwnBackup team introduced their newest product and capabilities, including OwnBackup Archiver and OwnBackup ICE, Powered by Blockchain.
And of course, Dreamforce would not be complete without its series of memorable events, including Conga’s Digital Transformation Wonderland Silent Disco Party, MapAnything Dreamforce Party, and the 2018 WalkMe Dreamforce Party. Plus, with performances by Metallica and surprise guest, Janet Jackson, attendees were most certainly left raising the roof at Dreamfest.
Customers Told Their Data Protection Stories During Live Sessions
OwnBackup hosted numerous informational sessions on Salesforce data protection at Dreamforce this year. With eight customer-focused speaking sessions and an educational workshop, the OwnBackup team was out in force on the Dreamforce agenda. Attendees were able to see how OwnBackup helps provide data protection peace of mind to our customers, including MADD, Michigan State University, Medidata, ShopKeep, ZenConnect, Canada Drives, and Multnomah County.
Parties Let Us Work Hard and Play Hard
The parties did not stop at Dreamfest. At the end of each full day of sessions and meetings, the adventure continued at Conga’s Digital Transformation Wonderland for those Trailblazers looking to de-stress and unwind. With amazing performances, fun carnival games, world-class dishes, and an open bar, OwnBackup staff partied and mingled with various other Dreamforce event-goers. We attended Conga’s Silent Disco Party, as well as Anaplan Rooftop Deck Party, BlueSkies Party, 2018 WalkMe Dreamforce Party, MapAnything Dreamforce party, and more.
Data Recovery Was On Tap at the OwnBackup Pub in the Dreamforce Customer Success Expo
The OwnBackup Pub booth was undoubtedly a stand-out at Dreamforce. Whether enjoying a cold brew coffee, a root beer float in an OwnBackup beer stein, or partaking in a whiskey shot out of one of our OwnBackup branded shot glasses, expo attendees were completely immersed in our authentic and educational booth display. Our idea for the OwnBackup booth may have come as a surprise to some, but the reasons behind this concept were simple. Many of our customers tell us that having OwnBackup has given them data protection peace of mind. Our comprehensive data protection solution helps them sit back and relax knowing they are being covered even if user-inflicted data loss or corruption should occur.
The OwnBackup Pub was filled with relevant and informative decorations that wowed our visitors to the utmost extent, leaving them lingering around the booth to soak in the experience, even after the demos and surveys to enter to win a Tumi bag or Beer of the Month Club subscription had come to a close. OwnBackup’s goal here was to present ourselves in a fun and interactive way allowing customers to engage with our brand while concurrently explicating the seriousness of user-inflicted data loss and corruption.
Prizes and Giveaways Were Aplenty at Our Dreamforce Booths
On the other side of the Customer Success Expo, visitors enjoyed an array of giveaways received upon filling out surveys and spinning OwnBackup’s prize wheel. Giveaways at booth 101 included pins, stickers, socks, whiskey stones, beer steins, espresso cups, and Nespresso coffee machines. OwnBackup participated in other areas scattered across the Dreamforce Campgrounds including pop-ups in the Dev Forest Booth area and the Conga Digital Wonderland Booth.
New Archiving Product and OwnBackup’s Fall ‘18 Release Made A Buzz
Upon Monday morning arrival at Dreamforce 2018, OwnBackup announced the launch of its newest product, OwnBackup Archiver, which allows customers to optimize their Salesforce platform by archiving data and attachments that are no longer needed in production, to address regulatory compliance, and to improve Salesforce performance. Also, OwnBackup’s Fall ‘18 release included OwnBackup ICE, Powered by Blockchain, which stands for Integrity and Compliance Edition. This is a key capability for OwnBackup’s customers who are in highly-regulated industries or subject to GDPR, HIPAA, or SEC Rule 17a-4. This solution provides critical evidence of immutable backups or that customer backups have remained unchanged.
Appyness Was Aplenty for OwnBackup
OwnBackup experienced an #appyness high after winning their first Salesforce Appy Award, presented by Mike Rosenbaum, EVP of CRM Applications, at the Dreamforce 2018 AppExchange Keynote. The Appy Award recognizes one AppExchange partner annually for their commitment to customer success, industry innovation, and generating momentum across the Salesforce ecosystem.
We Won the Admin Demo Jam
OwnBackup won the Admin Demo Jam at Dreamforce. All week, partners competed for a place in the Mega Demo Jam to showcase the best of their apps with a real-time, three-minute demo. By winning for the ability to analyze, find, and restore user-inflicted data loss in under three minutes, we proved our solution is highly-important for all Salesforce customers. User-inflicted data loss and corruption happens and should not be taken lightly.
